IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR HIRERS and USERS (from May 2021)
We are re-opening Goudhurst Village Hall on 17th May 2021 (phased re-opening) - we hope to fully re-open from 21 June, unless the regulations change again before then.
Following the recent lockdown, Goudhurst Village Hall is now able to reopen for limited activities. There are several changes which have had to be made to keep us all safe. The Hall is COVID-19 compliant and is cleaned daily, with hand sanitisers and extra cleaning products provided for users. There is signage reminding everyone to wash their hands thoroughly, and to observe social distancing.
It is a requirement for everyone entering the hall to wear a face covering. The advice is:
On entering a village hall, you will be required to wear a face covering, unless you are covered under a “reasonable excuse”. This could be for a gym class, if you need to eat or drink something, or if you have a health or disability reason to not wear one.
Our unique NHS QR code is displayed at the entrance of the hall and users can now check in with their NHS COVID-19 app on their smartphone on arrival. Hirers must also provide contact details for everyone who has entered the hall in the event that a case of the virus is identified.
The kitchen facilities will not be available for use at the present time, although soap and paper towels are provided by the hand washing sink.
